Dr. James Boggs believes that dentistry is a combination of medicine, engineering, and art. He feels that a smile is an important part of who a person is and that a healthy smile makes a person look and feel good.
Dr. Boggs completed his undergraduate work at Mars Hill College and University of North Carolina at Asheville. Once he received his Bachelors of Science Degree, he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1997. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Boggs elected to attend an AEGD residency in Belington, West Virginia to acquire an expanded understanding of comprehensive dentistry. Dr. Boggs began his private practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina but shortly moved to and began practicing in Hickory, North Carolina. In October of 1999, Dr. Boggs Dentistry was established.
Since he began practicing, Dr. Boggs has been focused on providing the highest quality of care while remaining up to date on the most recent developments in dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education and is a certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Boggs has taken advantage of several mission work opportunities, both in and out of the United States. He is a longtime member of the Granite Falls Rotary Club and served as president 2011-2012.
Dr. Boggs and his wife have been married for over 25 years and have 2 children, Allie and Connor. He has many different hobbies including mountain biking, motor cycling, archery, playing the didgeridoo, and hiking.
